Synopsis

The objective of this documentary film Toyo's Camera is to document and preserve the experiences and testimonials of former Japanese American internees during WWII through the eyes of photographer Toyo Miyatake.

About the Director

Having 26 years of experience as a Motion picture director, writer and producer; seminar lecturer, volunteer of making educational films, Junichi Suzuki is credited with 11 feature films as a producer and 13 feature films as a screenwriter and 22 feature films as a director. He is also credited with numerous television documentaries as a screenwriter and director. He is a member of the Directors Guild of Japan, the founder of Eleven Arts, Inc., a global distributor of Japanese movies in Santa Monica, California, and the husband of actress Rumi Sakakibara.
